The Venue

Woodlands Castle, Ruishton, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 5LU

Woodlands Castle is a privately owned venue near Taunton situated in 12 acres of private grounds surrounded by woodland making the house a secluded haven, yet conveniently located just minutes from Taunton town centre and two minutes from junction 25 of the M5, providing a central location between Exeter and Bristol.

FAQ’s

What are the event timings?

Doors open from 12pm, and the festival will be open until approximately 7pm. The bars will close at 6.30pm.

Where do I go when I get there?

The festival takes place in the main pavilion and the house lawns. There is a free car park at the venue, please show your ticket at the ticket office at the main entrance to the festival. You will collect your wristband to show you have paid.  You will be given a visitor guide with a map and there will be signage at the venue.

Do I need cash on the day?

You will need cash to purchase food, drink and products at the event. Some stands will have card facilities, some will not. The venue bar can process card payments. The nearest cash point is located at the local Sainsburys close to Junction 25 of the M5which is a 5-minute+`1w drive from the venue.

Are there any restrictions on who can attend?

This event is for families. Alcohol will only be served and sold to strictly over-18s only, and you may be asked for proof of age.

Is there food available?

There will be a selection of food vans available to purchase as well as a pop-up tearoom. There will be a hog roast, pizzas and jacket potatoes as well as sweet treats including crepes, candy floss, cakes and cookies.

Is there seating?

There will be some seating outdoors, seating for the talks and a seating area for the pop-up tearoom, however seating will be limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please feel free to bring blankets and set up on the lawn and chill out at the festival.

Are there baby changing and disabled toilets?

There are baby changing and accessible toilets on site at the venue.

If you have a disability and require a seat, please inform the Events Team on 07854321536 and ask for Charley who will be happy to arrange this for you. Please note we must be notified in advance to accommodate seating requests.

Tickets

Advance tickets are just £5 to include your entry to the festival. The day will run from 12pm – 7pm. Tickets will be priced at £6 on the day although will be subject to availability.
